The history of Triplex

Triplex was established in 1982. According to the company, it entered the pyrotechnics industry in 1990, developing activities related to the import and distribution of fireworks as well as the organisation of professional fireworks displays.

In addition to consumer fireworks, the company is involved in professional pyrotechnics and fireworks displays for different types of events. Triplex is therefore not only a brand associated with products found in fireworks shops, but also a company with experience in the professional pyrotechnics sector.

What types of fireworks does Triplex offer?

One of the key characteristics of Triplex is the size and diversity of its product range. The brand offers many different types of pyrotechnics, from compact items to larger firework cakes designed to create impressive aerial effects.

This makes it possible to use Triplex products in different parts of a fireworks display or combine them with fireworks from other manufacturers.

Triplex firework cakes

One of the most important parts of the Triplex range is its selection of firework cakes and batteries.

A cake contains multiple shots that are fired automatically in a predetermined sequence after ignition. Triplex offers both compact cakes and larger batteries with different calibres, shot counts, firing patterns and effect combinations.

When comparing Triplex cakes, it is therefore worth looking beyond the number of shots. Calibre, NEC, firing pattern, duration and the type of effects can significantly change the character of a battery.

Hydra Strike TXB305

One interesting example from the larger-calibre segment is Hydra Strike TXB305. This battery features 25 shots with a 38 mm calibre and belongs to category F3.

Hydra Strike demonstrates why a firework cake does not necessarily need hundreds of shots to create an impressive display. With larger calibres, the emphasis can instead be placed on fewer but substantially larger aerial effects.

Pandora's Glow TXB304

Another large Triplex battery is Pandora's Glow TXB304. This model combines 19 shots with a 38 mm calibre and also belongs to category F3.

Its visual character focuses strongly on gold tones and large aerial effects. This gives Pandora's Glow a different style from fast-paced cakes containing a much larger number of smaller-calibre shots.

Three Colours TXB171

Triplex does not focus exclusively on large F3 batteries. A more compact example is Three Colours TXB171, a 16-shot F2 firework cake.

This type of battery can be useful when combining several smaller cakes or when adding shorter individual sequences alongside larger batteries in a fireworks display.

Triplex firecrackers and sound emitters

Triplex is also known among fireworks enthusiasts for various ranges of firecrackers and pyrotechnic sound emitters.

Recognisable names within the range include Crazy Robots and Gorilla Bomb. Specifications and categories vary between individual products, so the current product information and manufacturer's instructions should always be checked before use.

Crazy Robots

Crazy Robots S01002 is a Triplex pyrotechnic sound product. It belongs to category F3 and is designed primarily to produce a distinct sound effect.

Crazy Robots is also one of the product names that has become closely associated with the Triplex brand among people interested in pyrotechnics.

Gorilla Bomb

Another recognisable name is Gorilla Bomb YT002. This product also belongs to the Triplex range of pyrotechnic sound products.

With this type of pyrotechnics, it is particularly important to check the specific product category, instructions and required safety distance before use.

Triplex rockets

Despite the popularity of firework cakes, rockets remain one of the classic forms of consumer fireworks. Triplex offers various rocket sets combining several visual effects in a single pack.

One example is Top 10 TXR607, a set containing different rockets with a variety of aerial effects.

The main difference compared with a cake is the way the display is structured. A battery automatically produces a complete sequence after ignition, while each rocket creates an individual part of the display.

Triplex Roman candles

Roman candles are another part of the Triplex range. These products fire a sequence of individual effects from a single tube.

One example is Night of Fire & Light of River TXC863. The set consists of two Roman candles with multiple shots and a variety of coloured effects.

Larger-calibre versions are also available within this type of pyrotechnics, meaning that Roman candles can differ significantly in both size and visual character.

Triplex fountains and other pyrotechnics

The Triplex range extends well beyond aerial fireworks. The brand also offers various products designed to create effects closer to ground level.

One recognisable example is Cyrkoblitz, while Triplex also offers various fountains and other smaller pyrotechnic products.

Combining aerial fireworks with ground effects can add more variety to a display. Always check the category and manufacturer's instructions for each individual product before use.

Triplex F2 and F3 – what is the difference?

The Triplex range contains products from different CE categories. The brand name alone therefore does not determine where or how a particular product should be used.

Before purchasing and using a product, check:

• the CE category of the specific product;
• the manufacturer's instructions;
• the required safety distance;
• the number of shots;
• the calibre;
• the NEC;
• the type and direction of the effects.

Always use pyrotechnic products according to their intended purpose and the instructions supplied with the specific item.

Triplex compared with other fireworks brands

When choosing fireworks, the brand does not have to be the only deciding factor. Comparing products with similar specifications can often be more useful.

For example, a Triplex battery can be compared with products from other recognised brands based on calibre, number of shots, effect type, firing pattern, NEC and duration.

This approach makes it easier to create a display in which products from different manufacturers complement each other rather than limiting the selection to a single brand.

How to choose Triplex fireworks

A good starting point is to decide what type of effect you want. This makes navigating the extensive Triplex range considerably easier.

• Large aerial effects: explore the larger Triplex firework cakes.
• An automatic sequence of effects: choose a cake with the desired calibre and number of shots.
• Individual aerial effects: explore Triplex rockets.
• A sequence of shots from one tube: compare Roman candles.
• Ground-level effects: explore fountains and similar products.
• A longer complete display: compare larger batteries and compound fireworks.
