Vortex 1 – firework cake 21 shots 30 mm
The Vortex 1 HF2251S from Riakeo is a medium-sized fireworks cake designed for enthusiasts who want a compact yet visually powerful display piece. This model delivers 21 impressive shots with a robust 30 mm calibre, offering a mix of vertical and fan-pattern firing for a dynamic visual spread. Classified as an F2 consumer-grade fireworks battery, the Vortex 1 combines vivid strobe tails with a range of intense coloured dahlias, making it a standout option in the segment of multi-shot fireworks.
The Vortex 1 provides a carefully structured sequence with each shot rising on a strobing comet tail before bursting into dual-tone dahlia and strobe combinations high in the sky. Thanks to its I and fan-firing arrangement, some volleys shoot straight while others angle outward, ensuring the effects fill a wide area. With approximately 30 seconds of action, this cake is ideal for adding immediate impact to celebrations such as New Year’s Eve, birthdays, or outdoor events where a strong visual effect is desired.
Manufactured by Riakeo—a brand known for its innovative effect choices and high-quality compositions—the Vortex 1 HF2251S relies on carefully balanced transitions and bold colours to offer a modern pyrotechnic experience. It stands apart from many smaller batteries by pairing its mid-length duration with a larger calibre, ensuring not just variety but also intense, well-defined breaks.

What effects does Vortex 1 produce?
The Vortex 1 features a multi-layered effects sequence blending stroboscopic comet tails with distinct dahlia colour breaks. Shots include:
- White strobe tail transitioning into both white strobe and peach dahlia effects
- Red strobe tail evolving into a split of red strobe and vivid sea blue dahlia
- Gold strobe tail finishing in green strobe and rich purple dahlia bursts
The I and fan configuration spreads these effects across the sky—some shots rise directly while others create a wide panoramic fan, maximising visual coverage and creating a multidimensional effect. The selected colour palette includes white, peach, red, sea blue, green, and purple, providing an intense, premium spectacle for its size.
What should you consider when choosing this firework cake?
With 21 shots and a larger 30 mm calibre, the Vortex 1 is designed to deliver strong, spacious breaks and vivid colours rather than a lengthy barrage. Its duration of around 30 seconds is perfect for an energetic but not overwhelming sequence, making it suitable as a stand-alone highlight or as a powerful segment within a larger show. The I and fan-firing pattern is especially effective for open spaces, where the angled shots can fully unfold. As an F2-certified product, it meets European safety standards for consumer fireworks but still requires responsible use in spacious outdoor settings.
When is Vortex 1 a good choice?
Vortex 1 is an excellent pick for anyone seeking a concise, intensely visual battery that goes beyond what most compact cakes offer. Its combination of high-impact effects, bold colours and dynamic firing patterns makes it ideal for open-air private parties or as a premium accent within a sequence of firework cakes. If you want a short but powerful visual highlight, Vortex 1 more than meets the requirement thanks to its 30 mm calibre and expert effects choice.
Fireworks enthusiasts who value strong, precise breaks and a rich palette of effects will find this model especially attractive. It is also a natural step up from basic consumer cakes for those wanting a more professional impression at their celebration.
